Women’s Book Club

Starting October 14th, we will meet in person at St. John's for five Wednesdays from 3pm-5pm to study and discuss chapters from Wearing God: Clothing, Laughter, Fire, and Other Overlooked Ways of Meeting God by Lauren F. Winner.

Lauren F. Winner is an ordained Episcopal priest, author and university/seminary professor. In this book, she explores images and metaphors found in the Bible that represent God in unconventional ways. *Wearing God *encourages readers to observe ordinary things in our everyday life that possess the key elements of God that we can relate to. Her insights are contemporary and provide “Outside-the-box” perspectives to her readers.

We will study five select chapters that focus on key images:

  • The God Who Runs after your friendship
  • Clothing
  • Smell
  • Labouring Woman
  • Flame

Tea and snacks will be served. Join us for fellowship, inspiration and time for prayer.
